Little kids would just be in the way. The wooden railroad ties aren't quite evenly spaced, and some are missing, so it is difficult to get a good rhythm while climbing up. That really helped my recovery. We started our hike (climb) at 7 am and we were finished by 9:30 am.
You can see the top when you are standing at the bottom, and as hard as it looks, it's even harder to climb. Coming down, I took the dirt trail. All rights reserved. I would consider myself to be in shape, and this was no easy hike. Make sure you have water with you as once on the walk there isn't anywhere to get some. This was much harder than I imagined.
